Germinated Brown Rice

Since I wrote this article I noticed there is lots of information about germinated brown rice on google... just google "Germinated Brown Rice" lots of good stuff comes up... otherwise my only real contribution here is .... germinate brown rice .. it's good for you...you will need a way to keep water at 100 degrees and they really don't tell you how to do that. One guy suggest getting a hot plate and putting a dimmer on it... that is to much work. I found you can use a foot massager to get water to stay at around 100 degrees and you can put the rice in a hemp sack... Keep it covered in the hot water... green tea would be even better... you have to keep the hemp sack in the heated water for 16 to 22 hours or until the rice has germinated... you have to change the water evey 4 hours unless you use the green tea then you still have to change the water but only like every 6 hours.

These are the only real main things I have to add to what you can find on google... do it, it is worth while...My other big contribution is the foot massager and how and where to get it... you don't have to pay a fortune but you want a foot massager that doesn't cost a lot and you want a foot massager that has a switch for just keeping the water hot.

Oh no! Now I have to germinate brown rice too!... Yes you do. All these things... brewing kefir and kombucha maybe fermenting grains and veggies with tibicos can get to be very routine and I do them everyday and they are second nature...

Let me tell you some of my discoveries... they're no big deal, just some of the wisdom of the ages... Hey; it's free ... take a listen

Why not include in your life a good source of Omega 3's in the form of some kind of North Deep Sea Fish Oil; if you are a vegetarian you can use flax, borage or hemp oils... I use this Colemans fish oil... Together with lots of good water you'll be launching an effective simple, pure, & inexpensive regimen that is an anti inflamatory and will make your blood vessels more elastic, they'll lower your blood pressure and ease the pain in your joints and make you happier; yeah, omega 3's are natural anti depressants without side effects; except, maybe shinny healthier hair and brighter eyes. So; drink water and get some omega 3's into your life and you are on your way already.

I think it would be so helpful to have a diet that contains Germinated Brown Rice and making it the basic building block of your diet...A simple basic starting point...Germinated Brown Rice, the great metabolic balancer...The great blood stablizer.Recent studies have shown that when brown rice is germinated/sprouted it's already many benefits multipy creating a real super food that is not expensive or a hollow promise; but, instead germinated brown rice has become an answer....

In general; when a grain starts to germinate, enzymes that have been inactive go to work making many changes within the grain. This birth process activates dormant enzymes that are now stimulated to provide nutrients to the growing sprout. This is a remarkable and almost a miraculous result of the germination/sprouting process to the brown rice grain.Major nutrients that increase are Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), dietary fiber, inositol, ferulic acid, tocotrienols, magnesium, potassium, zinc and oryzanol.

Research indicates that a continuous intake of germinated brown rice promotes the acceleration of brain functionality, preventing headaches, relieving constipation, preventing colon cancer, regulating blood sugar level, preventing heart disease, lowering blood pressure as well as preventing Alzheimer%uFFFDs disease. Regular intake also is said to improved sleep cycle, improve the immune system and it also is said to inhibit the development of cancer cells, It might also assist the treatment of anxiety disorders because GABA is also an inhibitory neurotransmitter.

Germinating brown rice also neutralizes phytic acid found in brown rice. Phytic acid is an inhibitor of nutrient absorption and can be found in all grains, beans and seeds. Neutralizing the phytic acid allows for more absorption of the many nutrients found in germinated brown rice.

One of the reasons we want to get brown rice into our diet is because brown rice contains; among other things, the amino acid GABA, or gamma-aminobutyric acid. GABA is one of the things baseball players take from a needle to heal faster and weightlifters take to loose fat. The GABA contained in brown rice stimulates the production of human growth hormone in a natural and safe; yet, significant way.

There is 10 times more of the amino acid GABA in brown rice than in white rice and there is twice the amount of the amino acid GABA in germinated or sprouted brown rice than in plain brown rice. When the brown rice is germinated in green tea the amount of the amino acid and other nutrients increases again and I suspect that when the green tea germinated brown rice is fermented in kombucha tea or water kefir the benefits will increase again. The taste of germinated brown rice is more enjoyable than plain brown rice, as the sugars held captive in the grains jacket are broken down and released. After eating germinated brown rice the feeling in the body is lighter than after eating plain brown rice.Germinated or sprouted brown rice would be a great way to help increase your metabolic balance and to lose weight. It would be a great thing to get into your regular diet.

Just adding the oils and the germinated brown rice would be a tredmendous start to a basic curative and preventative diet. There are so many health benefits and it's such a simple thing to do... Think about it ... and think about this

There are various fruits, plants and substances; and, there are tonics that are made from them... they are the latest and the greatist... they are called superfoods in some circles and they are called super money makers in other circles...Aloe vera, colloidal minerals, gingko biloba, noni juice and mangosteen fruits... these items are curative items; but, they are not all that they are claimed to be and their expense is excessive. Hey; I'd love it if I had a mangosteen tree in my back yard but I don't think I'm gonna spend forty bucks for a quart of the stuff.

Now all this stuff has been pretty simple up to this point... In the next module I want to talk about using kefir and kombucha cultures and why

The way I germinate my brown rice

1. I use a foot massager that keeps the water at 100 degrees

2. I put the brown rice in a hemp sack covered with warm green tea that covers the rice by a few inches

3. I let the rice in the hemp sack stay in the 100 degee water for 22 hours changing the tea 3 or 4 times,, 4 if I can do it but at least 3 times... that is what I do

below are links to more information about germinating and sprouting brown rice and why and below that are some of the other things I am into... kefir kombucha etc... I'd also just started a blog and I'd like to start a forum all concerning fermenting, germinating, sprouting, growing muchrooms... all these things for a community that can pass on this information and lift us all... please visit the blog and maybe give me some advise as to what would be best for us to do next... thanks
